Community Food Bank of New Jersey is the state’s largest food bank. We provide food for 15 out of 21 New Jersey counties. Distributing over 85 million meals last year, maintaining pandemic service levels. Our mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long term solutions. Hunger exists in every community from the poorest to the most affluents. It is a 365-day-a-year problem. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain facilities: lighting, plumbing, grounds, infrastructure, windows, doors, roofs, etc.
Assisting with construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all aspects of the physical plant/facility equipment and machinery including: HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems as well as rides and themed attractions.
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Provide practical solutions to facility related concerns.
Preparing rooms for events: remove or rearrange furniture for events or classes, as needed.
Build, manage, and motivate a strong, competent team by developing employees to their full potential and by creating a culture of quality and achievement..
Oversee the work by contractors as required on site to assure safety, quality, efficiency, and performance.Ensure all follow-up recommendations are carried out with immediate effect and that all relevant paperwork and signoffs are completed.
